LICSW, co-director of
the center, has 15 years of experience as a
trauma and family therapist, specializing in
stepfamily problems. The loyalty issues and
guilt often experienced within a stepfamily are
familiar to her as a former stepchild and later
as a stepmom. When needing support herself, she
created a support group for stepparents and
their partners in Newport, RI, and completed a
research project on how stepchildren feel about
their stepfamilies at URI.
Ginny has an ability
to make all family members feel supported and
heard in a session. Her style is compassionate
and accepting. Ginny is certified as a parenting
coordinator and guardian ad litem in the local
court systems. |
